Complimenti all'Ipswich che negli ultimi due decenni ha vissuto fra crisi economiche e crisi tecniche stagioni di grande sofferenza.

La stessa sofferenza che negli ultimi giorni ha vissuto il Plymouth, altra squadra che mi sta a cuore.

Grande Ipswich, seconda promozione di fila con il tecnico nordirlandese McKenna.
Risultato meritatissimo dopo un campionato chiuso con il miglior attacco e il minor numero di sconfitte.
Sono cresciuto con l'Ipswich di Bobby Robson, quella di Mariner e Wark che poi a fine ciclo perse con la Roma in coppa Uefa e questo rilancio dopo anni bui non può che farmi piacere.

Stagione più che positiva per le mie predilette, soprattutto in Championship: Ipswich promosso, Norwich e West Bromwich ai play-off, che comunque affronteranno da sfavorite. Se riuscissero a salire (un'altra volta) i Canaries sarebbe il top.

In League Two Wimbledon e Salford mantengono la categoria nonostante un campionato abbastanza deludente.

Peccato per il Solihull con la promozione in Football League sfumata ai rigori.

Complimentoni anche da parte mia all'Ipswich per la straordinaria impresa compiuta, sarà un piacere rivedere la Premier League a Portman Road.
Sul fondo il Birmingham si è suicidato, pagando giustamente con la retrocessione una scelta societaria scellerata e insolita in Inghilterra. Dopo 29 anni il Birmingham giocherà dunque in terza serie, tutto mentre l'Aston Villa sarà in Champions League...
Finito anche un periodo d'oro per l'Huddersfield che dopo 12 stagioni, di cui 2 in Premier, tornerà al terzo livello.
