Celtic vicinissimo alla conquista del suo 54° scudetto scozzese dopo la vittoria per 2-1 nel derby coi Rangers. Decisivo il doppio disastro del centrocampista inglese (nato a Liverpool) dei Rangers John David Lundstram, che a fine primo tempo nel giro di appena 7 minuti, dapprima al 38° mette a segno un autogol che porta il Celtic sul 2-0 (prima rete biancoverde al 35° con O'Riley), e poi al 45° si fa addirittura espellere, vanificando così il gol ospite realizzato al 40° dall'ex Cremonese Dessers.
